Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an experienced Administrative Services Manager to join our Social Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the local agency's technical and administrative programs, including finance, human resources, security operations, facility management, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all budgetary, financial, and accounting functions and prepare reports for sources of revenue and funding.
  • Act as the fiscal liaison between Federal, state, and local sources for the department.
  • Collaborate with leadership to meet strategic goals for the department.
  • Lead the Administrative team, providing supervision and support.

Requirements:

  • Considerable knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, budget preparation, and financial management.
  • Experience in leadership or management role.
  • Management level accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a public agency or local department of social services.
  • Understanding of Human Resources and administering employee benefits.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
