Senior Engineering Project Manager

The Lone Wolf Team supports, operates, and maintains a DoD-provided global communications network for senior leaders and key staff collaboration.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic and be able to work as a critical team member in pursuit of mission objectives and customer support.
Detail-oriented individuals who can think and react quickly to emerging problem sets are valued.
To succeed, you will rapidly adapt and learn to operate new products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Engineer Project Managers on large projects or complex project segments using the ITIL model under Service Strategy.
Develop project schedules, task dependencies, milestones, and reporting metrics for complex enterprise engineering efforts.
Identify and track risks/issues and mitigation efforts for successful project delivery.
Provide timely, accurate, and succinct daily/weekly reporting of ongoing project efforts and assist in forecasting, scheduling, and planning multiple concurrent projects.
Engage with Functional Managers to determine resource allocation across matrix teams and provide deconfliction of priority project assignments.
Ensure clear identification of requirements on new service requests and engage with technical teams to specify technical tasks, level of effort, and basis of effort estimates.
Demonstrate technical knowledge in enterprise network devices and services, major IT support systems, and computer hardware and software support.
Demonstrate technical familiarity with WAN/LAN topology, services, and terminology.
Serve as lead administrative supervisor, providing mentorship and coaching opportunities.
May be required to work beyond typical work times, including on-call, recall, and/or standby.
Requires travel (about 10-25%) primarily throughout the National Capital Region; other travel locations may be required.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expert use of MS Visio and Project and proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint tools.
Experience using Remedy or ServiceNow IT ticket systems.
Clearance Required: Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI.
Minimum Education: Experience supporting Agile and Waterfall project management methods.
Understanding of DoD acquisition regulations.
Proven working knowledge of IT infrastructure.
Minimum Years of Experience: At least 10 years of relevant Engineering and Project experience.
Experience supporting Agile and Waterfall project management methods.

Proven working knowledge of IT infrastructure.
Proven experience in recommending solutions that improve customer satisfaction and/or the mission of the customer.
Preferred: B.S./B.A. in IT or business-related field.
10 years of experience leading Engineering IT projects.
Practical understanding of Microsoft Enterprise services and solutions for on-premise environments.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification.
ITIL certification.
Knowledge of ITSM.
