Job Title: Network Support Specialist

Genesis10 is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team in Jonesboro, AR. This contract-to-hire position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26.00, based on experience.

Job Summary:

The Network Support Specialist will be part of our Network Operations team, responsible for providing operational support to Enterprise customers. This includes provisioning enterprise services, move/add/change and disconnect orders, and serving as a point of contact for Field Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision new services, disconnect services, suspend, and reconnect, facility changes, feature changes, CPE activation, and fulfill other service delivery requests.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental complex order assignment and fulfillment.
  • Responsible for fulfilling orders requiring new assignment, facility changes, and completions.
  • Maintain records, including cut sheets, facility records, and trouble records.
  • Manage directory number portability requests.
  • Troubleshoot and test customer service delivery.
  • Activate voice and data services across copper, fiber, and Ethernet platforms.
  • Participate in a team environment, providing valuable input and suggestions.
  • Interact with Engineering, Field Operations, NOC, and end-customers.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field is preferred, or an Associate Degree in a technical field coupled with relevant work experience. Cisco CCNA, Nokia NRS, CompTIA, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge and understanding of computers and networks.
  • Demonstrated understanding of LAN/WAN protocols and technologies, including Ethernet, VLAN, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, ACL, and SD WAN.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the OSI layer.
  • Demonstrated understanding of VOIP.
  • Knowledge of common networking tools and troubleshooting methodologies, including Telnet, SSH, ping, traceroutes, and Wireshark.
  • Skill in commonly used software, such as Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting technical documents and information.
