Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EH&S Regulatory Manager to join our team at Apache Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing EH&S program execution for complex oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of environmental management, safety, and health principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EH&S business processes to ensure alignment with corporate strategy
  • Lead a team of EH&S professionals to support the full lifecycle of exploration, appraisal, and development projects
  • Oversee the compliant execution of asset decommissioning projects by managing and implementing an effective risk-based EH&S Management System
  • Develop strategies and execute plans to successfully integrate EH&S personnel, systems, data, and applications for acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures
  • Ensure projects align with the Apache Management System and international, federal, state, and local environmental, health, safety, and emissions/atmospherics regulations
  • Develop and enforce project-specific contractor safety management programs to ensure third-party contractors and service providers meet stringent EH&S performance standards
  • Collaborate with department leads and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and milestones are effectively developed, managed, and communicated
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental management, safety, and health, business, or engineering
  • 15+ years of oil and gas experience in EH&S, regulatory, compliance, and operations
  • 7+ years of people management/leadership experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of exploration and development programs, procedures, and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Proven track record of learning new and complex national and international regulations
  • Balanced technical aptitude in risk management, developing/writing/understanding management systems, and associated documents
