Job Title: Global EH&S Director

At Olin, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global EH&S Director to lead our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of EHS regulations, industry best practices, and a proven track record of driving safety and compliance cultures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy that aligns with the company's vision and strategic goals.
  • Lead the development of a multi-year EHS plan, including personal and process safety and security, and monitor its implementation and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive systematic and practical engagement of contractors and contractor management, ensuring high EHS standards.
  • Ensure the company has a data management and reporting system that effectively captures and facilitates required reporting, execution, and analysis for EHS-related data.
  • Lead and supervise a staff of EH&S managers, ensuring staff development, training, retention, succession planning, performance management, and recruitment of quality talent.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in EH&S and manufacturing leadership positions.
  • Experience in development and effective implementation of Personal Safety Systems, Process Safety Systems, Occupational Health Systems, and Environmental Safety Systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant US regulations required; experience with EU legislation/regulation preferred.
  • Experience in leading a larger department required; international team supervision experience preferred.
  • Fluency in business and technical English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in a matrixed global organization.
  • Able and willing to travel, domestically and internationally up to 50%.
