Key Responsibilities:

As a skilled Applications Engineer at gpac, you will perform application engineering tasks under direct supervision, engage in training sessions with senior colleagues, and compile fixtures and work holding for demonstrations, test cuts, and turnkey solutions. You will also conduct time estimates for customer parts, calculate optimal speeds and feeds for part processing, and utilize CAPPS conversational programming, industry-standard CAM systems, and direct G-Code/Macro programming to create CNC programs. Additionally, you will setup CNC machines, inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, and generate detailed engineering reports and technical documentation.

Requirements:

A BS Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field is preferred, and/or equivalent machining knowledge. You should have 3 years of related experience, proficiency in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup, and a basic understanding of metallurgy. You will also need to be able to travel up to 80% regionally, have strong communication skills, and be flexible to adapt to shifting priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is also required. Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
