Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement efficient fabrication workflows and management approaches.
- Configure, refine, and maintain our electronic production management system.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to increase efficiency.
- Provide input to corporate management regarding resource needs.
- Manage fabrication efforts for specific projects.
- Recommend optimal fabrication methods for specified requirements and production quantities.
- Assess make versus buy decisions.
- Estimate cost and schedule for fabrication activities.
- Optimize fabrication schedules while considering technical risk and overall timeline.
- Create and maintain work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Identify and recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
- Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication/machining techniques, mechanical assembly, and blue-print reading/inspection.
- Prior production management and/or manufacturing engineering work experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing environment.
- Project experience with NPI is an advantage.
- Demonstrated team building and interpersonal relationships skills.
- Expertise with MS Project or equivalent scheduling/tracking software is preferred.
- Previous direct experience with supply chain management and ERP software is required.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and ISO process controls is a plus.
- At least 1-2 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S.
$80,000 to $120,000 + bonus and other associated benefits.
