Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at MD Anderson Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients, including routine and advanced procedures. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures using nuclear medicine and PET technology
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including PET scanners and gamma cameras
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Provide patient education and support to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • Additional certifications, such as PET, ACLS, PALS/PEARS
  • Imaging experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at MD Anderson or other experience in a related discipline
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient contact. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
