Job Title: Document Management Analyst II

SGI Global, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Document Management Analyst II to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Summary

The Document Management Analyst II will work with the Criminal Division, providing direct legal support, clerical/administrative support, automated litigation assistance, and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities
  • Examine, prepare, and process technical legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review incoming material and determine the need for assembly and preparation of legal documents.
  • Obtain necessary information from sources and submit drafted legal documents to the appropriate AUSA.
  • Prepare responsive documents with limited instructions from the AUSA, compiling variable aspects of recurring legal documents.
  • Verify citations and statutory references in legal documents, ensuring completeness and consistency.
  • Provide organizational support for investigative and trial teams, assisting with creation and presentation of evidence, exhibits, and documents for trials.
  • Maintain regular contact with law enforcement agencies, witnesses, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
  • Develop summaries of deposition transcripts, create charts and chronologies for Grand Jury subpoenas, and participate in witness interviews.
  • Organize travel arrangements for AUSAs and ensure necessary receipts and documents are submitted and finalized.
  • Develop tables of contents and indices to briefs, listing cited cases, opinions, and miscellaneous references.
  • Compose original letters requiring a good working knowledge of legal procedures and specialized terminology.
  • Produce a variety of written documents and materials using office software applications, transcribing audio recordings as needed.
  • Ensure proper format, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and grammar in all documents.
  • Establish and maintain files, searching legal reference files for information needed by AUSAs.
  • Perform docketing duties, such as opening, updating, and closing cases through the automated case tracking system.
  • Maintain a calendar of assigned active cases, tracking filing and hearing dates, and developing a suspense system for ongoing cases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • Experience working with other agencies (law enforcement and federal preferred).
  • U.S. Citizenship.
