River Edge Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Crisis Service Center in Milledgeville, GA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential care services to patients, and play a critical role in helping them achieve independence.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical and mental health assessments to develop personalized care plans.
  • Administer and monitor treatment regimens, ensuring the highest level of care for patients.
  • Provide clear and empathetic education to patients and their families regarding symptoms, treatment plans, and medication regimens.
  • Collaborate with patients' families to improve their coping abilities and help them deal with mental illnesses.
  • Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, promptly, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
Qualifications
  • Current nursing license in good standing with the Georgia State licensing board.
  • Minimum of two years of Psychiatric experience.
  • Ability to pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test.
  • Two professional references from former employers.
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and remain organized.
Competencies
  • Nursing Assessments: Proficiency in conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, including evaluating food/nutrition status, pain levels, and other relevant health indicators.
  • Medication Management: Ability to administer medications safely and accurately, monitor their effects, and make necessary adjustments based on patient responses.
  • Observation and Reporting: Strong observational skills to detect subtle behavioral changes or clinical indicators, and the ability to communicate these observations effectively.
  • Patient Education: Capacity to provide clear and empathetic education to patients and their families regarding symptoms, treatment plans, and medication regimens.
