Job Description

As a Union Associate Customer Service Representative at Wesco International, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. Your primary responsibility will be to interact with existing customers, primarily through phone and email, to increase sales of our products and/or services. You will focus on proactive selling techniques to add business or expand current customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers by phone or in person to provide information and ensure best service possible.
  • Order Processing: Receive and process orders, provide information concerning pricing, changes in service, discontinuance, and shipping.
  • Customer Complaint Resolution: Handle and resolve customer complaints, special orders, or returns in-store, via phone or mail.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, record details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
  • Sales and Service: Identify additional product or service opportunities with existing or potential clients, and determine with customer sales and service manager, whether customer sales and service or outside sales should manage opportunity.
  • Client Relationship Building: Maintain regular contact with existing clients, continually working to understand new or existing "pains" and needs and developing strategies to address those pains.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly sales meetings and remain current on industry trends, market activity, and competitor products.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience; 1 year of sales experience preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Basic problem-solving skills and ability to analyze information in order to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Sales Principles: Strong knowledge of retail and wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
