  • Collaborate with reliability and hardware engineering teams for field failure analysis.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) initiatives related to field failures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify trends and report on field quality performance.
  • Oversee contract manufacturers' assembly line qualifications and daily production quality, driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify, document, and report any issues from contract manufacturers, ensuring RCCA is completed.
  • Establish and implement advanced quality plans, including incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality checks.
  • Coordinate with the FAA to achieve production certification, creating necessary quality documentation for implementation at production sites.
  • Define and review specification requirements for fit, function, and reliability in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Reliability teams.
  • Ensure timely processing of updates by coordinating with contributing groups.
  • Analyze large datasets to measure quality metrics.
  • Conduct inspections of components, airframes, and aircraft final assemblies.
  • Support and audit functions related to RCCAs, SCARs, and internal audits.
  • Propose solutions for non-compliance issues identified during audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality or reliability engineering, focusing on field and product quality.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and other relevant IPC standards.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills with cross-functional teams and management.
  • Solid manufacturing background, particularly in SMT, with experience in developing robust processes for scaling new products, including process qualification and quality control.
  • Expertise in driving engineering requirements and continuous quality improvement with contract manufacturers.
  • Ability to assess bandwidth and resource allocation.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as JMP or Minitab, and familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in field quality or manufacturing environments, particularly with aviation products.
