THE ROLE:

Are you looking for a kitchen position that offers a work-life balance? At Lakeshirts, our onsite cafeteria and coffee shop play a vital role in ensuring our team members are well-fed and happy.

As part of our kitchen crew, you will work under the guidance of the Kitchen Supervisor, assisting in the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch, along with those essential snacks throughout the day. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our meals reflect our commitment to exceptional service.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM

TEAM VALUES: Flexibility to assist in various kitchen areas as needed, because variety is the spice of life

YOUR DAILY TASKS:

  • Prepare and serve meals to employees
  • Process payments at the point of sale
  • Perform general kitchen duties, including cleaning and dishwashing
  • Take orders and prepare beverages, including coffee and specialty drinks
  • Assist in packaging our signature coffee blend
  • Support the Kitchen Supervisor with daily tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas and dining spaces
  • Adhere to safety practices and resolve any safety concerns in line with industry standards
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
We seek individuals who enjoy food and interacting with others.

Preferred Skills:

  • Food Service Certificate (not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with institutional kitchen equipment
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
  • Capacity to handle varying temperatures
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Reliability and a willingness to follow directions
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Capability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
  • Previous experience in food production is a plus
