Laundry Operations Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in working closely and behind the scenes with various departments to ensure a positive guest experience through the cleaning and distribution of laundry within the resort and spa.
Key Responsibilities- Report to work in a clean uniform with the appropriate nametag at scheduled time.
- Prepare all linen and towels for washing and ensure adequate and consistent loading of machines.
- Ensure all machines are turned on and are in safe operating condition.
- Separate all linen watching for any valuables or obstacles.
- Separate stained linen for special treatment.
- Shake, sort, and fold all linen after washing.
- Ensure all linen is dried, ironed properly and stocked on shelves for housekeepers and spa attendants.
- Stack and store linen on shelves as directed by management following Forbes/Mirbeau standards.
- Ensure stained or damaged linen is not distributed. Damaged linen can often become rags for cleaning with and stained linen can go through the reclaim process.
- Assign Evening Housekeeping Service.
- Be familiar with safety procedures, the operation of all machinery and equipment, and measure use of all chemicals.
- Ensure all machines are shut down and clear lint traps daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and surrounding areas.
- Perform any additional assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Position requires a person of good health and ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. necessary.
- Must be able to follow and carry out instructions efficiently and work with minimal supervision.
- A keen attention to detail and superb time management skills are required.
