Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (Flexible working with core hours to be covered)
Core Hours: 9am – 3pm Mon-Thurs and 9am – 2pm on Friday.
Role Overview:
The Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Specialist will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and enhancing the ISO14001 management system.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legal requirements.
- Identifying and implementing sustainability improvements across the organization.
- Setting and achieving environmental and sustainability objectives.
- Collaborating with team members to foster a strong sustainability culture.
- Managing relationships with external contractors, agencies, and local authorities.
- Planning and executing internal environmental audits.
- Delivering training and education on environmental and sustainability practices to all departments and EHS representatives.
- Overseeing the daily responsibilities of EHS representatives.
- Supporting Net Zero initiatives to meet greenhouse gas reduction targets.
- Preparing annual sustainability performance reports.
- Ensuring safety in all operational activities.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions and implementing reduction strategies.
- Background in a production or manufacturing environment (or equivalent).
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in presenting findings and reports to management.
- Relevant qualifications in Environmental or Sustainability fields, such as NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or equivalent.
