Job Title: Office Manager/Bookkeeper

Shelby County Schools is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Office Manager/Bookkeeper. This is a 12-month position that requires strong financial management and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Provide administrative support to the school district, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining office supplies
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including preparing and analyzing financial reports

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
