Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to support regional fundraising priorities and public affairs efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content, including videos, social media posts, and press releases.
  • Provide communications support for disaster response operations, including media relations and public affairs activities.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the Red Cross, representing the organization in media interviews and public events.
  • Support executive-level internal and external communication initiatives, including developing brand and creative content.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of AP Style.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex information, think critically, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Cision/TrendKite or other media monitoring software, as well as website content management systems and marketing tools.
