Geotechnical Project Engineer Job Description

Braun Intertec is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Project Engineer to manage complex geotechnical projects in our Houston, TX office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, including project and non-project related meetings.
  • Lead technical or project-related teams to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare proposals for complex projects, including developing and executing whole scopes and preparing engineering reports.
  • Manage projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards.
  • Mentor junior-level engineering staff.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies.
Required Skills:
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering.
  • Three or more years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management experience.
  • Experience managing client relationships, vendor management, and leading a team.
  • Professional Engineer registration/licensure in TX or ability to attain within 6 to 12 months.
