Position Overview:
The Senior Agency Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service to brokers who promote our company's offerings through various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to agents and brokers through phone and written correspondence.
- Engage in special projects for brokers, group administrators, and other stakeholders, while generating tailored reports to fulfill client requirements.
- Support management during broker and client meetings.
- Address inquiries related to commissions, regulations, product details, and policies for Individual, Small Group, Dental, and Life insurance.
- Maintain performance metrics by managing a set number of calls and correspondence daily.
- Coordinate mailings and fulfillment requests efficiently.
- Participate in broker roadshows as needed.
- Generate reports for brokers to facilitate their operations.
- Execute basic Enrollment and Billing maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant customer service experience, or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in the health insurance sector is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Medicare is highly preferred.
- Possession of a State of VA License (to be obtained within 30 days of hire, employer-sponsored).
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Advanced understanding of benefits, claims processing, or membership is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
