Job Overview

Vivo HealthStaff is seeking a seasoned Director of Nursing to lead our skilled nursing facility in Oakland, California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that govern nursing services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the management team to formulate and implement nursing care plans, promoting resident-centered care.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of nursing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Develop and manage the nursing department budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, driving continuous quality improvement within the department.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to enhance nursing services.

Requirements:

  • Active California nursing license.
  • At least 3 years of experience in geriatric care nursing.
  • Preferred certification in gerontology nursing.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic to advanced computer knowledge required.
