Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel and relocate as project sites are located both domestically and internationally.
  • Extensive background in managing batch plant and concrete operations.
  • Significant experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Proven ability to supervise multiple foremen and construction crews.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Safety-oriented mindset; 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certifications are preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Capacity to function effectively as a team builder and player.
  • Able to navigate all areas of a construction site in diverse climates and environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete batching process, ensuring the timely and efficient production of concrete.
  • Monitor plant performance and implement necessary adjustments to achieve production goals.
  • Ensure all equipment operates correctly and schedule maintenance as required.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures to guarantee concrete meets specified standards.
  • Manage construction safety protocols.
  • Oversee environmental and quality compliance.
  • Understand and manage project costs and budgets effectively.
  • Review and interpret Contract Documents, including specifications, drawings, and designs.
  • Schedule and manage construction activities, including the selection of engineering staff, crew workforce, equipment, and tools for optimal utilization and quality.
  • Review timecards and invoices to ensure proper cost distribution and accountability.
  • Track project schedules and budgets against milestones, taking necessary actions to maintain project timelines.
  • Establish, control, and uphold field discipline schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure all personnel are compliant with Barnard's safety policies and have received the required safety training and equipment.
