Job Title: Advanced Practice Practitioner - Anesthesia Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our team in the Inpatient Pre-Anesthesia Consult Service. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role:
  • This full-time position involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services to patients, including diagnosis, patient management, and consultation.
  • You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and manage patient conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans.
  2. Consult with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases, share knowledge, and collaborate on care plans.
  3. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  4. Provide educational support to patients, families, and healthcare colleagues to enhance their understanding of anesthesia services and promote quality care.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric or adult anesthesia practice.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas (or compact RN license) and certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national certifying body recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification and PALS certification within 180 days of hire.
