About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner II to join our team at Parkland Health & Hospital System. As a key member of our neonatology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients in designated primary or specialty areas. This includes obtaining histories, performing physical exams, making assessments, ordering tests, determining diagnoses, and planning care. You will also provide optimal medical decision-making and patient care management, consistent with the Parkland Health mission, to ensure good health outcomes.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for working with newborns and their families. You will be an excellent communicator, able to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

To be considered for this position, you must have a current RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid Compact RN license. Additionally, you will need active certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).

Key Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in a neonatal setting.
  • Active certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner by the NCC.
