Precise Systems Internship Program

Precise Systems, Inc. is offering an Advanced Engineering internship opportunity as part of our Military Transition Internship Program (PS-MIP), an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29.
This program provides transitioning service members with a valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. Our program is open to all ranks and experience levels.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Advanced Engineering Intern will work in, learn, and support the services of awarded contract across the company's Business Areas. This position ensures analytic performance of the staff to meet the mission needs while delivering on the corporate commitments.
The Intern will be assigned to one of four disciplines:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Electronic Warfare
- Cyber Security Engineering
- Open System Architecture
During this internship, the Intern will learn the perspective of contractor support in:
- Making plans using detailed drawings
- Preparing estimates and budgets
- Creating accurate project specifications
- Designing engineering experiments
- Creating technical reports for customers
- Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues
- Finishing projects on time and within budget
- Communicating with clients and coworkers about analysis results
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline or technical degree and 6 years' experience
- High School or GED and 10 years' experience
- 4 years' experience managing personnel or teams of personnel
- Experience leading dispersed teams
- Understands the analytical workflow, products, and tools
- Have demonstrated experience across the community and broad customer (DoD community) base
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software; SharePoint and other communications related software programs
- Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher with a background investigation completed within the last four years
- Must have the ability to obtain program access
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
