The Director, Neuroscience Strategy, plays a pivotal leadership role in driving AbbVie's continued leadership across prioritized Therapeutic Areas (Immunology, Neuroscience, Oncology). This position requires a collaborative leader who can partner with cross-functional leaders to develop and execute long-range planning and strategy for each Therapeutic Area.
Key Responsibilities- Build and Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Develop and lead high-performing teams that integrate expertise across Discovery, Development, Commercial, Corporate Business & Strategy, and other key functions to drive strategic initiatives.
- Foster Innovation and Collaboration: Collaborate with the Therapeutic Area Strategy Council (TASC), senior R&D and commercial focused leadership teams, and other stakeholders to drive end-to-end innovation on enterprise-critical topics and projects.
- Develop and Execute TA Strategies: Support the development and execution of Therapeutic Area strategies that address mission-critical questions and position AbbVie for future success.
- Strategic Partnership and Communication: Serve as a strategic partner to R&D and Commercial leaders across major transformational initiatives, defining objectives, scope, clear deliverables, and workstreams.
- External Trend Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor, understand, and prioritize external trends of relevance to the enterprise, and help determine how AbbVie should prepare and/or respond.
- Communication and Execution: Help communicate and execute Therapeutic Area strategies across AbbVie, and facilitate the identification, evaluation, and implementation of novel tools and technologies and new clinical endpoints.
- Stakeholder Assessments and Patient Journey: Collaborate with relevant functions to drive internal and external stakeholder assessments, anticipate changes in the external environment, and understand the patient journey and levers to improve outcomes.
