Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Veterinary Anesthesiology Faculty member. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing anesthesia services to small animals, equine, and food animals, as well as teaching and mentoring veterinary students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia services to small animals, equine, and food animals
  • Teach and mentor veterinary students in a teaching-hospital setting
  • Supervise veterinary and nursing students
  • Train veterinary interns and residents
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Michigan
  • Board certification in veterinary anesthesiology (ACVAA or ECVAA) or eligibility for certification
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring veterinary students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diplomate certification in veterinary anesthesiology (ACVAA or ECVAA)
  • Experience in clinical research and publication
  • Strong leadership and management skills
