Job Summary

Coarc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Community Services team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals served, promoting their autonomy and independence.
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Support individuals in achieving their goals and outcomes, including education, employment, and community participation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized service plans.
  • Provide medication administration support, as needed, and ensure accurate documentation of services delivered.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
