Position Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for organizing shipments and compiling documents for wine orders imported primarily from Europe. They will also coordinate domestic transportation, including truck and rail shipments and pier pickups. This role demands a dynamic professional who can juggle various responsibilities and collaborate closely with both vendors and our internal team to ensure timely and problem-free shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee vendor purchase orders: prepare, review, and route. Work closely with brand managers to resolve discrepancies.
Foster strong relationships with vendors: manage ready dates, arrange pickups, and procure essential documentation.
Maintain vigilance on shipments: track costs, timelines, and generate necessary import paperwork.
Collaborate with the compliance team and work together to file necessary customs entries.
Partner with warehouse teams: aid in inbound shipment processes and tackle inventory challenges.
Spearhead initiatives: consistently analyze and refine procedures for optimal performance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in logistics.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is a distinct advantage.
Outstanding communication capabilities.
Multilingual talents, especially in Spanish, French, or Italian, are highly desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Excel.
Familiarity with NetSuite is beneficial.
