Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Civil Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, with a strong focus on hydraulics and hydrology, along with a minimum of five years of progressive experience in civil or environmental engineering, including at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Professional Engineer License and demonstrate proficiency in engineering software and PC applications. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, as this position involves collaboration with engineers, developers, contractors, and the public. Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Driving Requirements:
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory. Candidates must provide their driving history, reflecting at least three years of records, at the time of the interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve engineering plans for residential developments, ensuring compliance with engineering standards related to erosion control, drainage, and stormwater management.
- Engage with consulting engineers, developers, and contractors, addressing public inquiries or concerns regarding erosion control and related matters.
- Foster the development of skills among subordinates and colleagues, while overseeing staff under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Additional Information:
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background checks, and verification of education and degrees are required for this position.
