The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the production floor, ensuring that processes are efficient and effective. This role requires a strong focus on leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Competencies:- Proven leadership and management capabilities, with a track record of motivating teams to meet objectives while fostering engagement.
- Solid understanding of production scheduling, resource allocation, and operational constraints.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Permanent Corrective Action (PCA).
- Accountable for process ownership and performance metrics (KPIs).
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives with a comprehensive understanding of change management.
- Proficient in production management software and relevant IT tools.
- Experience in budget management, production data analysis, and efficiency enhancement.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Manage the daily operations of the production floor to ensure optimal production processes.
- Oversee equipment maintenance to guarantee safe and efficient operation.
- Coordinate with production scheduling to achieve production targets and deadlines.
- Implement initiatives for continuous improvement to elevate production quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Effective communicator with strong active listening skills.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Results-driven with strong prioritization skills.
- Open to constructive feedback and committed to personal development.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
Qualifications:- A preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing/industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in a production or manufacturing setting, ideally within the rail industry or a comparable heavy equipment sector.
