As a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to our servicemen and women. Your duties will include assisting healthcare professionals in providing medical care, functioning as clinical or specialty technicians, and serving as medical administrative personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities.

Some of your specific responsibilities may include:

  • Performing emergency medical treatment on injured personnel
  • Providing emergency dental treatment and constructing dental crowns and bridges
  • Serving as an operating room technician for general and specialized surgery
  • Helping to administer preventive care and medications, including immunizations and intravenous fluids
  • Maintaining patient treatment records and conducting research

In addition to your medical duties, you will also have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including on aircraft carriers, submarines, and medical treatment facilities. As a Hospital Corpsman, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our servicemen and women.
