PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The Lead Technical Consultant is responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes for core product lines, validating that new products and systems meet regulatory standards, and engaging in internal development teams. This role includes addressing project-specific inquiries, reviewing architectural drawings, and collaborating with third-party testing organizations while actively participating in industry associations that influence standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate and endorse application policies for product lines within technical documentation.
- Address inquiries related to specific projects and provide recommendations based on reviewed drawings.
- Coordinate third-party testing certifications and approvals.
- Suggest testing specific to projects or products, analyze results, and provide informed recommendations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of testing methodologies for both laboratory and field assessments.
- Present a thorough knowledge of compatibility testing among materials.
- Develop and update product literature, application guidelines, and field training manuals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes concerning exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) and other façade solutions.
- Draft and review installation letters and job specifications, including detailed drawings to support sales efforts.
- Respond formally to inquiries with sound engineering judgment.
- Deliver technical training to both internal and external stakeholders focused on façade systems, regulatory requirements, testing methods, and Tremco system applications.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and designated external clients.
- Guarantee product performance by reviewing and advising on proper usage and field applications.
- Master the assigned core product line technology, including policy documentation.
- Provide mentorship and training to new team members.
- Exhibit advanced critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering is essential; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with over 15 years of relevant experience may be considered.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 7 years in civil, structural, mechanical/architectural engineering, building envelope, building science, or construction consulting.
- PE license is preferred.
- Experience in designing façade systems and familiarity with building codes and third-party testing.
- Knowledge of component and cladding wind load calculations.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Familiarity with hygrothermal modeling software is advantageous but not mandatory (e.g., WUFI, THERM).
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Self-driven with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% within North America.
- Experience in mentoring and training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, talk, hear, taste/smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The salary range for this position typically falls between $99,222 and $124,027, with an additional 20% bonus potential. This range is an estimate based on qualifications, operational needs, and other lawful considerations.
