We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician I to join our team at Dawn Foods. As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing daily quality activities, including process audits, GMP audits, and laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily quality activities, including process audits, GMP audits, and laboratory testing
- Identify quality issues and report them to the appropriate person
- Initiate corrective action processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Monitor and inspect products in process or in the lab to ensure they meet specifications
- Record all information and report any discrepancies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma preferred
- 1 year of experience and/or equivalent education in supporting plants and assessing the effectiveness of plant quality and food safety programs
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to problem solve in variable situations
- Knowledge of basic lab equipment, such as water activity, viscometers, etc.
