As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will support the North America Corporate Quality functional department at Dawn Foods while working in one of our core manufacturing facilities and contributing to the team's goals and objectives. You will gain a broad understanding of quality systems within manufacturing processes, including knowledge about specifications, test methodology, and analytical reporting.

What You'll Do as an Intern

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will conduct research on assigned topics and present findings to the team. You will collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to problem-solving efforts. You will shadow and learn from experienced professionals in your field of interest. You will actively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills relevant to your career goals. You will take initiative to suggest process improvements and contribute innovative ideas. You will demonstrate the 'Dawn Values' of Team Dawn and support our culture throughout the duration of the Internship Program. You will be responsible for identified projects, including validation, data trending, and data analysis, continued specification conversion with different lab equipment, creating, updating, and writing procedures for in-process testing, and analytical reports.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. You will be required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity. You will be required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds. The normal setting for this job will be a combination of manufacturing laboratory and production floor environment. You must be able to tolerate potential allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Soy, Milk, and Egg. All PPE requirements are to be worn while inside the Plant (hairnets/safety boots/smock must be worn).
