Pump Applications Engineer

Customer Service and Technical Support
As a Pump Applications Engineer at DXP Enterprises, you will provide exceptional customer service, sales, and technical support to our sales force and customers. Your expertise in fluid handling equipment and fabricated pumping systems will be invaluable in promoting and encouraging 'Profit Management' to ensure a profitable future for the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service, sales, and technical support to sales force and customers
- Promote and encourage 'Profit Management' to ensure a profitable future for the company
- Understand and implement policies to achieve both customer and company goals
- Work closely with sales, fabrication, and vendors to facilitate the sales effort and meet customer requirements
- Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, and other pertinent data
- Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs, and cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements
- Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems
- Notify inside and outside staff of new products and processes as needed
- Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints, and failures
- Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders, and assist sales and fabrication with project-related questions
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of applicable experience
- Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment, and fabricated pumping systems
- Ability to work independently to achieve targeted results
- Well-organized and self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Effective negotiating skills
- Project management experience and team work skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Working Conditions
The Pump Applications Engineer will work in an office environment, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Travel is not required for this position.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related experience is required for this position.
