Summary/Objective:
The Assistant Manager of Mortgage Services plays a crucial role in overseeing all Quality Control and Assurance activities related to Post-Closing, Pre-funding, and Servicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all investor and organizational standards for the selection, auditing, and reporting of quality control metrics.
- Generate precise and actionable insights, delivering results to the Mortgage Services Manager.
- Manage and direct the servicing, pre-funding, and post-funding administration while upholding quality control policies and HMDA reporting.
- Supervise the resolution team, tracking and reporting on complaints and escalations, and prepare responses for external reporting as necessary.
- Oversee the audit process, ensuring timely remediation of findings and adherence to turnaround times for file reviews.
- Implement standardized tracking systems to manage findings and responsible parties, ensuring accurate external data for quality performance tracking.
- Analyze quality control results, communicate findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Make recommendations regarding mortgage services, compliance, technology, workflows, and policies to maintain regulatory compliance and competitiveness.
- Lead project management initiatives as directed by the Mortgage Services Manager.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements at both state and federal levels.
- Foster team development through meetings, coaching, training, and participation in seminars and conferences.
- Establish individual and team goals to align with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all team members.
- Address internal and external member inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes and workflows to improve member services.
- Assist in delivering training sessions for credit union staff.
- Coordinate activities in accordance with established policies and procedures, recommending improvements as necessary.

- Complete annual training related to the Bank Secrecy Act and maintain awareness of current BSA policies.

Education and Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing quality control and compliance functions, with a focus on post-closing and pre-funding processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to develop and communicate policies effectively. Knowledge of mortgage loan products, underwriting, processing, and compliance is required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Oversight of the mortgage services area, including supervision of team members in quality assurance and underwriting roles.
Work Environment:
