Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system diagnostics to analyze the current performance and efficiency of the Snowflake data platform.
  • Participate in setting, monitoring, and reporting on data management and system performance improvement targets.
  • Identify optimal solutions for resolving issues on the Snowflake platform to meet objectives.
  • Collaborate within and outside data management spheres to implement system enhancement strategies.
  • Monitor and oversee ongoing system performance levels.
  • Maintain optimal system performance to ensure data effectively supports business operations.
  • Proactively address and escalate Snowflake platform issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other Snowflake Administrators, data analysts, and the broader IT management team.
  • Escalate issues beyond the scope of this role to IT leadership or other business executives.
  • Drive changes in business processes and restrict application and data access to resolve detrimental impacts on system performance.
  • Identify system performance metrics and conduct system audits to benchmark the state of the Snowflake platform.
  • Aid in developing monitoring and alerting solutions to identify potential system performance issues.
  • Regularly monitor alerts and take necessary actions to resolve issues before they affect business operations.
  • Share system performance metrics through standard reporting methods, such as a system performance scorecard or dashboard.
  • Engage with business leaders to quantify and communicate the business implications of system performance issues.
  • Follow established methodologies to carry out system improvement projects.
  • Actively contribute to designing and implementing data integration processes to enforce standards and controls for high-quality data.
  • Promote successes to further engage individuals across all organizational levels.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, and MS Azure cloud.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in monitoring and maintaining ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with statistical software packages like Python, R, or SAS.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience involving tasks such as:
    • Evaluating data quality and suggesting process enhancements.
    • Continuous monitoring of data quality and associated reports.
    • Collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Implementing data quality initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Agile frameworks.
  • Experience in the healthcare payer/managed care sector.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Snowflake administration.
  • Background in planning or leading data quality initiatives.
  • Familiarity with statistics, control charts, and process controls.
  • Experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry.
  • Experience with SQL Server tools like SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
