We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Health. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our clinical enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing, and therapeutic intervention as needed.
- Provide drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients.
- Maintain patient profiles, attend cardio-pulmonary emergencies, and perform drug therapy monitoring.
- Direct technicians, perform inventory control, and actively precept pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as assigned by the supervisor.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy.
- One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire.
- Current knowledge of drug references, URAC requirements, and other regulatory standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Current BLS or ACLS upon hire.
- CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing.
- Ability to operate Willow Ambulatory (WAM) computer system to process and verify prescriptions.
- Background Check and Live Scan.
- Legal Right to Work in the United States.
- Vaccination Policies.
- Smoking and Tobacco Policy.
- Drug Free Environment.
