Staff Pharmacist II

UCI Health is seeking a skilled pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing. You will also perform therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain patient profiles
Attend cardio-pulmonary emergencies
Monitor drug therapy
Compound drugs
Requirements:
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy
One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire
Current knowledge of drug references, URAC requirements, and other regulatory standards
Current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Current BLS or ACLS upon hire
CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient's medical management plan
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to operate Willow Ambulatory (WAM) computer system to process and verify prescriptions
