Staff Pharmacist II

Job Summary:
The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Staff Pharmacist II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and medication management services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise in medication therapy management, including drug distribution, computerized order processing, and therapeutic intervention.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication administration.
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans, taking into account individual needs and preferences.
- Conduct medication reviews and provide recommendations for optimization and safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and students, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of California.
- One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of a PGY1 residency program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic health records and medication management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines related to pharmacy practice.
