US Conec Ltd. is a leading organization in the design and production of connector components for fiber optics. We are currently seeking a proficient Process Engineer to enhance our operations.
Position Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for establishing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining effective injection molding processes through systematic analysis and the application of scientific molding methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver processes for new injection molding tooling introductions.
2. Support existing tooling by focusing on cost reductions and enhancing process capabilities.
3. Provide daily production support to ensure operational efficiency.
Essential Duties:
- Apply scientific molding principles and Design of Experiments (DOEs) to create robust molding processes using a standardized, data-driven approach.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation and records to ensure production consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process, tooling, quality, maintenance, and production to identify and resolve issues using root cause analysis techniques.
- Assist the quality team with all corrective actions.
- Mentor fellow process engineers and technicians by sharing knowledge and fostering a respectful challenge process.
- Stay informed about new industry technologies and trends, proposing and managing the implementation of innovations that add value to the organization.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with relevant experience.
- Proficiency in injection molding, particularly with high precision and tight tolerances is advantageous.
- Proven ability to implement controlled molding processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lot number traceability, engineering-grade resins, and specification-driven processes.
- Experience interpreting molding simulation software results, preferably Moldex3D.
- Knowledge of in-plant injection molding auxiliary equipment including robots, sprue pickers, and temperature control systems.
- Practical understanding of Statistical Analysis and Design of Experiments is preferred.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
