Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Representative to join our team at The Hartford. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for investigating and managing Workers' Compensation claims to ensure fair and timely resolutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and manage complex Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Plan, recommend, and execute the investigation and disposition of claims, adhering to corporate claim standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage a caseload of claims within established performance standards, maintaining effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain technical and jurisdictional expertise, staying up-to-date on claim loss cost containment initiatives and company practices.
  • Identify and initiate mitigation, subrogation, and other recovery opportunities on assigned claims, as well as identify fraud indicators and initiate investigations.
  • Apply mathematical knowledge and financial analysis to achieve results, ensuring accurate reserve setting and timely claim dispositions.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation claim handling, with certification exams and adjusting licenses as required by state.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with a consistent high level of performance and achievement over career span.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • HS Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

The Hartford offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $61,600 - $92,400, as well as opportunities for short-term and annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
