Job Overview:

This role is centered around the development and implementation of comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. The selected candidate will collaborate with senior leadership, management, and specialized experts to ensure robust planning for potential disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical operational sites.
  • Design contingency strategies to address organizational emergencies effectively.
  • Conduct thorough testing of documented disaster recovery protocols.
  • Evaluate impacts and risks to essential business functions to determine acceptable recovery timelines and resource needs.
  • Assess vulnerabilities within business operations.
  • Create emergency management frameworks for effective recovery decision-making and communication.
  • Review and enhance existing disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks.
  • Establish and maintain communication trees to facilitate effective information flow during crises.
  • Oversee the integration and execution of contingency plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing testing activities, including objectives, planning, execution, results, and recommendations.
  • Develop budgets for business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay updated on advancements in disaster recovery and business continuity.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in crafting disaster recovery plans for critical asset locations.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning.
  • Expertise in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Educational background in Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE).
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing business continuity strategies across various sectors.

Special Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks and cloud services.
  • Understanding of data backup and recovery technologies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to create clear documentation for business continuity plans and procedures.
