Veterinary Medical Center Coordinator

Job Summary:
The University of Tennessee is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Client Coordinator to join our team in the Small Animal Clinical Sciences department. As a key member of our client services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between our hospital services and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between clients and hospital services to resolve inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate with clinical services, referring veterinarians, and coordinators to ensure patients are scheduled for appointments.
- Monitor schedules for missed appointments and contact clients to answer questions and provide updates.
- Collaborate with referral coordinators to prepare virtual visit videos and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)-accredited program in Veterinary Technology with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Veterinary Technician license and ability to obtain a license to practice in Tennessee within the first year of employment.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a veterinary medical center or private/specialty veterinary practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of training or experience in communications, veterinary social work, or leadership.
- 3 years of veterinary nursing experience at the UTCVM.
Work Environment:
The Veterinary Medical Center is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Occasional weekend, evening, or holiday work may be required of this position.
