OBJECTIVE: The primary goal of this position is to provide exceptional customer service while delivering high-quality food and beverage options at Caribou, situated within Nickelodeon Universe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and set up the Caribou location for service, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Craft Caribou beverages with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Adhere to Caribou's standards for all food and beverage offerings.
  • Comply with food safety regulations in accordance with MN Health Code.
  • Stay updated on seasonal offerings of coffee, beverages, and food items.
  • Possess a solid understanding of food products, beverages, and their ingredients.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to boost sales.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by warmly greeting guests, addressing their needs, and providing friendly farewells.
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards consistently.
  • Ensure the service area remains safe and clean at all times.
  • Respond to general guest inquiries or direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Accurately handle cash transactions following established protocols.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and discounts.
  • May assist other departments as needed, including rides and retail.
  • Consistent attendance is essential for this role.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
  • Exceptional skills in customer service.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics.
  • Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional late evenings for special events.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in cash handling is beneficial.
  • Background in barista work, food service, and customer interaction is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

  • Frequent standing and movement - approximately 90% of the time.
  • Repetitive motions (such as keyboard usage) - approximately 90% of the time.
  • Occasional kneeling and bending - about 30% of the time.
  • Frequent reaching at or below shoulder level - approximately 90% of the time.
  • Infrequent reaching at or above shoulder level - about 10% of the time.
  • Infrequent stooping/squatting - about 10% of the time.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds - about 30% of the time.
  • Infrequent lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds - about 20% of the time.
  • Infrequent capability to lift up to 50 pounds - about 10% of the time.
  • Infrequent handling of larger objects such as boxes or packages - about 10% of the time.
