We are seeking an experienced SEO Director to join our team at Yahoo Holdings Inc. and drive growth initiatives across our portfolio of brands and apps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve online visibility and drive traffic to our websites.
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional partners to develop strategy and lead SEO efforts across one or more verticals within the Yahoo ecosystem.
  • Conceptualize business issues or opportunities, formulate hypothesis and goals, define KPIs, analyze data, and make recommendations to editorial, product, and engineering teams.
  • Have extensive experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Analyze and respond to algorithm changes, new search features, and tools.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Requirements
  • Managed SEO strategy for large, complex, and global news and media websites.
  • Extensive knowledge of current and emerging SEO best practices with 5 years experience building and delivering impactful SEO roadmaps.
  • Extensive experience working across large cross-functional teams.
  • Experience collaborating on complex site redesigns, rebuilds, and implementations with numerous stakeholders and functions.
  • Subject matter expertise of the technical aspects of SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, indexing, algorithms, and other factors that may impact SEO efforts.
  • Highly knowledgeable in working with and influencing product development teams and product roadmaps.
  • A self-starter that is comfortable initiating and leading efforts, projects, and programs.
  • Understanding of how affiliate programs work.

The compensation for this position ranges from $140,000 to $306,705.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, and experience.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
