Hospital Laboratory Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hospital Laboratory Technician II to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures and tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities- Perform specimen procurement, processing, and testing according to established protocols.
- Assist in equipment maintenance, quality control, and inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
- Participate in quality assurance and compliance functions to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- One year of clinical laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician license.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Minimum 16 units of applicable Science (such as Chemistry, Biology) and Algebra at the college level.
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of various software applications.
