Hospital Laboratory Technician II

Your Role on the TeamWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician II to join our Surgical Pathology team.
As a Laboratory Technician II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including specimen processing, labeling, and testing, as well as maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
You will work closely with our clinical laboratory team to ensure accurate and timely test results, and will be expected to maintain high standards of quality and safety in the laboratory.
Responsibilities- Process and label specimens for testing
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including cytology and histology
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure accurate and timely test results
- Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Minimum 16 units of applicable science (such as chemistry, biology) and algebra at the college level
- Knowledge of medical computer software systems
