Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide quality support and care to adults and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes assisting with daily routines, promoting health and safety, and advocating for the individuals we serve.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, as outlined in their Individual Program Plan.
  • Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathroom assistance and changing undergarments.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with clean-up.
  • Transport clients in company vans, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • California Driver's License required.
  • Pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, working AM/PM/NOC shifts, with one weekend day required.
