Job Title: Active Support Professional

TERI Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Active Support Professional to join our team at the TERI Campus of Life. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellness of our clients with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Active Support Professional is responsible for providing graded assistance and engaging in positive interactions with clients, ensuring that activity plans are appropriate for the group being served, and adapting these plans as needed to ensure all learners can engage to the best of their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with personal care and provide behavioral support
  • Obtain a class B driver's license and drive clients to activities
  • Provide instructional support to revolving groups of adults
  • Collaborate with supervisors to design and adapt activity plans

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a driver's license with an acceptable driving history
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree desirable with a minimum of four-year experience working with developmental disabilities
  • Thorough understanding of the principles and strategies of active support for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Criminal background check required
